Meet in Spinney Hill Park at the pavilion café, centre of park
Take a tour to the buildings owned by the Imperial Typewriter Company in and around East Park Road. Learn about modes of factory production, why 500 of Imperial’s South Asian workers went on strike in 1974 and the factory’s closure. Presented by a writer and researcher with interest in the topic. Booking is essential, please book on Eventbrite or call 0116 373 7589. Booking is now open.
Please arrive 10 minutes early for registration, to allow the walk to start on time. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
