Open Streets Walk – Alice Hawkins theme

Sunday 28th October 2018, 11:00 - 12:15

Open Streets Walk  (Alice Hawkins theme)

11am on Sunday 28 October
Meet at New Market Square, city centre, behind the Knight & Garter pub.
Steady to moderate pace for about 1 hour 15 minutes.
This is the last ‘Open Streets’ walk this year, this time with a suffragette theme. We will visit the locations associated with Alice Hawkins. If you can’t attend the Saturday walk from New Walk Museum, here is another opportunity to hear about this remarkable woman and the suffragette movement. Booking not required, just turn up.

Open Streets is a collaboration to encourage walkers and cyclists to gather on the last Sunday of each month. The October event is the last one in 2018.  It will resume from spring 2019.
