Business Travel Forum
The Business Travel Forum brings together organisations from across Leicester to share ideas, hear about the latest active travel initiatives and learn from businesses that are already making sustainable travel part of everyday working life.
It’s an opportunity to exchange experiences, discover practical solutions and keep up to date with funding, events and new projects.
Whether you’re just getting started or looking to build on existing work, the forum offers useful advice, local contacts and plenty of inspiration.
Special Events
Throughout the year, the Active Travel team put on a range of events to celebrate special days, weeks or occasions.
These include ‘Cycle to Work Day’ when we laid on a bikers’ breakfast of fruit and granola bars, arranged for Dr Bike to give free bike maintenance and offered a special BetterPoints promotion for staff members from local businesses.
We also celebrate things such as ‘Clean Air Day’ where we collaborated with students from local universities to offer advice on how to give up smoking, ways to improve the air quality inside your homes and workplaces as well as raising awareness of how to reduce air pollution across the city.
