Arriva LC13, LC15 – Main Street, Markfield Lane, Thornton

A road closure is required on Main Street, Thornton, between Bagworth Lane and Reservoir Road for a period of 1 day on Friday 10th July, 07:00 – 17:00 to allow for carriageway patching and associated works
During the closure, service LC13 and LC15 will be unable to serve Main Street, from the junctions of Reservoir Road & Bagworth Lane Thornton.
Services LC13 and LC15 will continue to serve Thornton via Reservoir Road during this time. Passengers are advised to use the nearest available stops at Thornton Garage.
Bus stops unserved during closure: Steam Trumpet, bricklayers Arms, Hawthorne Drive, Mill Lane, Bagworth Lane
The service towards Coalville will divert from Botcheston Road Botcheston – Markfield Lane – Thornton Lane – Reservoir Road – Thornton – Merrylees Road – Heath Road – Bagworth and normal route.
Towards Leicester divert from Main Street Bagworth – Heath Road – Merrylees Road – Thornton – Reservoir Road – Thornton Lane – Botcheston Road and normal route.
Temporary bus stops will be places just after the junctions of Main Street/ Markfield Lane, Botcheston.
During the closure, service LC13 will be unable to serve Forest Road, Grassy Lane, Board Lane, Markfield Lane and Main Street Thornton.
The service towards Coalville will divert from Main Street Bagworth – Heath Road – Merrylees Road – Thornton – Reservoir Road – Thornton Lane – Markfield –London Road – Main Street and normal route.
The diversion will be reversed towards Coalville.
Leicestershire County Council apologise for any inconvenience caused.
Arriva LC13 – Ratby & Markfield

Leicestershire County Council have granted and emergency road closure on Markfield Road, to allow for Severn Trent Water to carry out mains repairs.
During this time LC13 will be unable to serve Markfield Road, Ratby Lane, Thornton Lane in both directions, between Ratby & Markfield.
Services towards Leicester will divert from Botcheston Main Street- right onto Botcheston Road – junction left onto Desford Lane – continue past Poundstretcher – next left onto Desford Lane – continue into Ratby – junction left Main Street – leading to Groby Rd and normal route.
The diversion will be reversed towards Coalville.
Leicestershire County Council apologise for any inconvenience caused.
Arriva 14A – Glenfield Hospital

CT4N 66

Update: Service 66 is currently starting and terminating at Orchard Close in Sutton Bonington whilst safe turning arrangements are being organised.
A Temporary Traffic Regulation Order (TTRO) is to be made for the following location: Zouch Road, Hathern and Main Street, Zouch between the junction with Derby Road, Hathern and Upper and Lower Holme, Main Street, Zouch and Sutton Bonington Bridleway No.5.
The purpose of the TTRO is to allow Eric Wright Civil Engineering on behalf of Leicestershire County Council to safely undertake works on the construction of the new Zouch bridge and various statutory undertakers to undertake diversionary and service installation works. The TTRO will incorporate a temporary road closure.
The duration of the road closure is not anticipated to exceed a period of 18 weeks commencing on the 2nd March 2026. The closure will run concurrently with the Network Rail closure on Rempstone Road, Sutton Bonington to try and minimise the disruption.
During the closure, service CT4N will divert through Kegworth and will not serve the Caravan Park stops in Zouch. For assistance with travel planning, please contact the helpline on 0116 3050002.
