Leicestershire BSIP

BSIP – Bus Service Improvement Plan 

Leicestershire County Council is required to state how it will specifically achieve the Enhanced Partnership objectives through a Bus Service Improvement Plan (BSIP). The Leicestershire Bus Service Improvement Plan (BSIP) 2025 (PDF, 6 MB) reflects progress made to date as well as setting out the next steps to help us continue, with Government funding, to:

  • Support the current commercial and subsidised bus networks to meet school, commuting and other travel needs;
  • Maintain and improve local area networks and our FoxConnect digital demand-responsive service;
  • Identify infrastructure pinchpoints and improvements to reduce delays to buses; and
  • Simplify and widen the fares offer for bus users.
