Group Walks: On the trail of faith buildings in Highfields & Spinney Hills

Starting from the Victoria Park Gates, London Road
Finishing in Spinney Hill Park, East Park Road. 

Up to 90 minutes, steady pace

Join us for a 2-mile stroll through city streets passing faith buildings (past and present) which reflect the diversity of Leicester’s communities. We pause along the way for a little information about some of these attractive landmarks which are important places of worship and community hubs. Booking is essential as places are limited.

• Please note that we will not cover the theology of different faiths, as this is beyond our scope.
• Due to the pandemic this will be an outdoor event; we are not entering the buildings on this walk, simply appreciating them from the outside.
• Public toilets are available in Victoria Park. There are also public conveniences in Spinney Hill Park near the end of the walk.
• This walk finishes in Spinney Hill Park and walkers make their own way back. Buses serve East Park Road nearby and also Melborne Road, which a short walk away or opt to return on foot
