Walks are free to attend but places must be booked. For full details of each walk and to book, please visit Eventbrite via the links below. Alternatively, book by phone during office hours (excludes weekends and bank holidays). Our contact details are at the bottom of the page.

Wildlife Walk: A Walk on the Wild Side – Aylestone Meadows South & Great Central Way Wednesday 9 September at 10am Starting from Marsden Lane car park. What3Words location: ///chins.thigh.costs Free to attend but booking is required. |

Group Walk: Exploring Old Belgrave Saturday 12 September at 11am Starting from Loughborough Road/Bath Street junction green space, opposite The Bull. Bus stop nearby. What3Words location: ///hood.royal.crop Join us for a pleasant history walk from old Belgrave village to Belgrave Cemetery and back, discovering stories of places and people along the way! This is one of our longer walks. Around 2.5 miles. Allow around 2+ hours including information stops for the circular route. Shorter option of 1.8-mile (one-way) if you wish to leave after Belgrave Cemetery. Bus stops nearby at Red Hill Circle for return to city centre (Skylink, Arriva bus no. 127, Centrebus no.22a,b,c). Please note: This is a residential area with limited parking – bus journeys are recommended. There are no public toilets on this route.

Braunstone Park Walk & Stable Block Museum Visit Thursday 17 September at 11am Starting from the gates of Winstanley House, centre of Braunstone Park. What3Words location: ///achieving.speeds.every 90 minutes approximately, steady pace. 1.5 miles A group walk around beautiful Braunstone Park and visit the stable block museum to discover the Winstanley family who once owned the hall. Open Streets – On the Trail of Joseph Merrick in Victorian Leicester Sunday 27 September at 12:45pm Starting from Town Hall Square. What3Words location: ///tags.usual.spine Around 90 minutes with information stops, steady pace. Around 1.5 miles. Join us on the trail of Joseph Merrick in Victorian Leicester. We pass locations in the city where Joseph lived and worked, prior to adopting his stage name ‘The Elephant Man’. We reveal a little about the life of this remarkable man. This is a repeat of the walk we first led in 2022. This walk is part of the Open Streets event. Free to attend but booking is required. For details and to book, visit Eventbrite.
