Wildlife Walk: A Walk on the Wild Side – Humberstone Park

What3Words location: /// rounds.parks.hops

Between 90 minutes – 2 hours with information stops. Steady pace. 1.5 miles

A Walk on the Wild Side is hosted by an experienced wildlife expert who will lead you around the park, pausing to talk about the different types of insects, plants, birds and other wildlife found here. Free to attend but booking is required.
Please note: This route may include some soft uneven paths in the park, so may not be fully accessible. As we are looking at wildlife, we regret that dogs are not permitted on our nature-themed walks.

For details and to book, visit Eventbrite.

New! Group Walk: Heathley Park Drive to Bradgate Heights via Gilroes
Saturday 14 November at 11am
Starting outside the Heathley Park pub, Groby Road. Bus stops nearby.
What3Words location: ///ears.overnight.oasis

Around 90 minutes. Medium pace. Up to 3 miles.

Join us for a late autumn walk through Leicester’s pleasant suburban and green spaces. We follow a leafy footpath through Gilroes Cemetery and on to Bradgate Heights residential estate – not to be confused with Bradgate Park! – returning via the grounds of Glenfield Hospital. This walk includes some gentle uphill sections and is slightly longer than usual, ideal for those who like to stretch their legs. There are some soft, unsurfaced paths which may be muddy after rain. Due to the terrain, we regret this is not an accessible walk. Free to attend but booking is required.
