Dino T-Reks FAQs
Learn more about the Dino T-Reks trails, the competition, and your data privacy. For full information, please visit the Questr Dino T-Reks page.
Locations
Who can enter the competition?
The competition is open to everyone in Leicestershire county. Unfortunately, it is not open to residents of Leicester city.
Why have these parks been chosen?
We have invited parks from different areas of Leicestershire to participate in the Dino T-Reks trails because of their size, location, popularity and ease of access. We have also taken into account their accessibility for people with different levels of ability.
Are the trails accessible?
We have tried our hardest to choose accessible parks, and make the trails easy to complete for people with different mobility levels. The terrain will differ from park to park; if you’d like to discuss further, please get in contact via choosehowyoumove@leics.gov.uk.
Competition
How do I enter the competition?
Children and their families can walk, cycle or scoot the whole trail to enter the competition. Each dinosaur on the trail will have a QR code that an adult can scan with their phones. The QR code provides a link to a Questr Dino T-Reks page, where you can log the trail marker and receive a letter. Unscramble the letters from each marker on the trail to create a word to do with active travel. At the end of the trail, submit your name, email and the correct word to be in with a chance to win prizes from the Choose How You Move team.
How long will the trails take to complete?
With a maximum of eight dinos on each trail, the route is designed to last around half an hour. But everyone travels at different paces, so it’s up to you and how speedy you are!
One of the trail dinosaurs is broken/missing. What do I do?
If you spot a problem with one of our trails, get in contact with the park team and let us know. We’ll fix it, and Questr will record your trail for you on your trail homepage.
I’m having a problem with the QR code on the trail. Will I still get the chance to enter the competition?
Any problems with the QR code link, please get in touch with Questr, and let us know. We’ll work with you to get an entry into the competition.
