Group Walk – Ladies of Leicester
11am on Tuesday 9 November
City centre, from Richard III Statue, Cathedral Gardens, St Martins.
Up to 90 minutes, medium pace.
This route visits locations associated with some of Leicester’s notable women of the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries. It includes campaigners, teachers, Suffragettes and women whose work improved the lives of others in the city. The walk content is similar to the Suffragettes themed walk presented earlier this year, but the route has been extended to include some extra locations. At around 2.5 miles, this is one of our longer walks led at a medium pace.
