Community Transport Support Grant 2026/27

Leicestershire County Council would like to draw your attention to the availability of a Community Transport Support Grant for 2026/27.

This annual Support Grant funding is available for Leicestershire-based voluntary and/or charitable organisations providing transport services to the elderly, vulnerable and rurally-isolated residents of Leicestershire.

The Support Grant can be used to support the organisations in the day-to-day running and administrative costs of providing local voluntary transport provision.

The Support Grant cannot be used for capital expenditure (for example the purchase of vehicles, infrastructure or equipment etc).

If you are a registered voluntary and/or charitable organisation and would like to be considered for funding assistance from Leicestershire County Council using the Support Grant then please complete and submit the grant application below.

The closing date for Support Grant applications to be received is 4pm on Wednesday 14th January 2026.

    Subsidy control

    The new UK subsidy control regime commenced from 4 January 2023. The new regime enables public authorities, including devolved administrations and local authorities, to deliver subsidies that are tailored for local needs.

    Public authorities giving subsidies must comply with the UK’s international subsidy control commitments. The subsidy control legislation provides the framework for a new, UK-wide subsidy control regime.
