Leicester Open Streets is back for 2025!

Leicester’s  Open Streets is a FREE monthly pop-up event to help encourage people to explore the city by walking, wheeling or cycling. On the last Sunday of each month, from May to September, locations across the city centre will welcome people with free, family-friendly and fun entertainment for all abilities from 1-4pm

Each month, the Open Streets events will take on a different theme from street art to sports.

🎨 Graffwerks Street Art Jam – Open Streets x Graffwerks

After the amazing success of the May event, Open Streets Graffwerks Art Jam is back for part 2 with even more fun and creativity on Sunday 31 August! Join us at Graffwerks HQ in Leicester’s creative quarter between 1pm – 4pm for a free, family-friendly day celebrating street art, culture, and community.

Get hands-on with interactive experiences including live graffiti paintings, spray paint workshops, and spray can upcycling sessions that turn everyday objects into unique works of art. There will also be bike fix-it workshops and enjoy accessible cycling activities from Leicester Wheels 4 All.

We’re also excited to welcome the thrilling Danny Butler Mountain Bike Show and the energetic sounds of Freedem Sound System to keep the atmosphere buzzing.
