Leicester Open Streets is back for 2025!
Leicester’s Open Streets is a FREE monthly pop-up event to help encourage people to explore the city by walking, wheeling or cycling. On the last Sunday of each month, from May to September, locations across the city centre will welcome people with free, family-friendly and fun entertainment for all abilities from 1-4pm.
Each month, the Open Streets events will take on a different theme from street art to sports.

🎨 Graffwerk Art Jam – Open Streets at Graffwerk HQ

Join us for Graffwerk Art Jam, a vibrant Open Streets celebration of street art, creativity, and community at Graffwerk HQ in Leicester! This free, family-friendly event features interactive workshops, guided tours, music, and much more – all in the heart of the city’s creative quarter.

Spray Paint Workshop – Try spray painting techniques in a hands-on session for ages 10+ (masks provided).

Upcycled Spray Can Workshop – Turn used spray cans into unique art pieces using Posca markers.

Badge Making – Design and press your own custom badges—perfect for all ages.

Graffiti Name Tags and Stickers – Create colourful name tags and stickers using graffiti styles and fun shapes.

Mini Canvas Painting – Paint your own mini masterpiece to take home using markers and acrylics.

Guided Art and Walking Tours – Explore the local art scene and discover the stories behind Leicester’s vibrant murals.
