Leicestershire Network Review

Local area bus services that are funded by Leicestershire County Council were reviewed in 2024 and 2025. The review aimed to create more travel opportunities for Leicestershire residents and to support the wider network provided commercially by bus operators.

The services were reviewed in partnership with local bus operators as part of Leicestershire Buses. The council and local operators continue to work together to monitor passenger numbers, assess punctuality and performance and listen to feedback.

Melton

Changes and improvements to Melton’s supported bus services were launched on Monday 6th January 2025.

Changes to supported bus services in Charnwood launched on Monday 2nd June 2025 and were followed by improvements to Loughborough town services on Monday 14th July 2025.

Changes to supported bus services in North West Leicestershire were launched on Monday 14th July and Tuesday 26th August 2025.

Hinckley and Bosworth

Changes to commercial and some supported bus services, including a new FoxConnect service for North West Leicestershire as well as a one-year trial route linking Hinckley and Coalville, were launched on Tuesday 26th August.
