Hear first-hand developments in the active travel world

Active travel has never had a higher profile, nationally and locally. We all want to maximise the well-documented health and economic benefits of encouraging the switch from single occupancy car journeys to more active and sustainable modes of travel. The Cycling, Walking and Wheeling Forum highlights these developments in Leicestershire, from decision makers such as Leicestershire County Council, the Choose How You Move team, and more.

Next forum: Thursday 13th November 2025 – 17:45 – 20:30

The Cycling, Walking and Wheeling Forum is for everyone in Leicestershire

As a council, supported by Active Travel England, we are reaching out to our communities and stakeholders in the world of active travel. We want to hear from the many individuals, advocacy groups, residents, and professionals with a keen interest in active travel to ensure the schemes we introduce are effective and useful.

We want the Cycling, Walking and Wheeling Forum to be accessible to everyone, which is why we stage the Forum as an in-person and online event.

Be part of the conversation

We’re eager to hear your experiences and suggestions. The Forum allows a two-way flow of information: although it isn’t a formal consultation process, there will be an opportunity to hear updates during presentations, networking opportunities and workshops. Plus we’ll be hearing your questions and feedback.
