Walk from St Barnabas Library (French Road) to Humberstone Park, return.

Abbey Park to Abbey Pumping Station
(the long way ’round, via Belgrave Hall and Ellis Meadows)
Saturday 5 July – starting at 11am until 2pm
Starting: Abbey Park, outside cafe
Finishing: Abbey Pumping Station, for family-friendly Railway Day with Meccano and the the Mealbarrow (Grow Your Own Grub) competition. Plus – optional return walk to Abbey Park.
Volunteers are needed for the duration please. We are offering two walk options:
Short under 1 mile (30 mins) direct to Abbey Pumping Station suitable for families who want to attend the family event. Longer option – just over 2 miles (60+ mins) via Ellis Meadows and Belgrave Hall for those who like to stretch their legs. Optional return walk from the Pumping Station to Abbey Park for those who prefer a guide!

Let’s Get Together Social STOMP – visiting elephant sculptures on the LOROS Stomp Trail

Starting in/near Town Hall Square – We may start at Central Library or at the Adult Ed Centre – details TBC.
This month we’ll start with an elephant-themed quiz at our start venue (around 45 mins) then we’ll begin the walk (1.5 miles, allow 60 mins with stops).
