Park and Cycle draft main page

Do you commute to Leicester city centre for work? If you’d like to make part of your journey by bike, the new Park & Cycle scheme makes this much easier.

This scheme allows you to park your vehicle and cycle into the city centre from a choice of four locations for just £1 a week.

Our secure bike shelters mean that bikes can be left overnight at the Park & Cycle site, so you don’t have to transport your bike daily.

The scheme will launch on …….. and will operate at all three of the Park & Ride sites – Birstall, Meynell’s Gorse & Enderby – as well as County Hall in Glenfield.

How the Scheme Works

  • Create an account and apply online
  • Pay a one-off fee of £25 which will allow unlimited use of the Park & Cycle facilities* for 6 months, which is just £1 a week to park at the site
  • Once your application is approved you will receive a parking permit** and an access card to the secured bike parking

Eligibility

The Park Cycle scheme is only available to those who work within a two-mile radius of the Clock Tower – (Could we provide a visual radius map?)

Unfortunately, we are not able to offer the scheme if you work at Grove Park, Fosse Park or the Police Headquarters. However, if you work at one of these locations there may be other schemes available to you. Please speak to your employer about the Enderby Employers Parking Scheme or find out about more active and sustainable travel options by visiting the Choose How You Move website

*please note that access to sites is only available during operational hours – please see FAQs  for individual site opening times

** please note that permits must be displayed at all times when parking at the Park & Cycle sites
