Pop-up walking and cycling lanes
Pop-up lanes are being installed on some of the major arterial routes into the city, creating wider, safe cycling and walking corridors. They will enable people to get around the city whilst protecting public transport for key workers and will support local businesses and employees as lockdown restrictions are gradually eased.

Free 3 month membership offer for NHS staff
British Cycling is pleased to announce that NHS workers will be offered a free three-month Commute Membership. This will provide additional support and peace-of-mind insurance up to £15 million for their daily cycling. The offer, supported by HSBC UK, is being made in recognition of the incredible work that NHS workers are doing to help combat the current crisis, and of the vital role that bicycles are playing in safely transporting so many of them to work.
